The Method Behind the Magic
The Continuous
Harvest System
A proven method for growing fresh, pesticide-free vegetables on your balcony or terrace — almost year-round, in just 5 minutes a day.

How It All Started
Born from a Kitchen,
Refined on a Balcony
Émely Steegstra-Hendrix comes from six generations of chefs. Food has always been at the heart of her family — from cooking shows to Michelin-star restaurants. She grew up knowing that great food starts with great ingredients.
Then came a cancer diagnosis that changed everything. On her road to recovery, Émely became deeply aware of the impact food has on health, body, and mind. She was shocked to learn that most store-bought vegetables lose up to 95% of their vitamins within days of harvesting.
Living in the city, she was determined to find a way to grow her own vegetables — fresh, chemical-free, and nutrient-rich. But she had no large garden. Just a balcony.
So she designed a system that works in minimum space, with minimal effort, and still delivers maximum yields. That system became the Continuous Harvest System.
How It Works
Three Pillars of the System
Modular Raised Beds
Based on the Square Foot Gardening method, the system uses 30×30cm modular squares. Start with a 60×60cm bed (4 squares) — that's enough for your first harvest.
- ✓ No-dig, custom growing medium
- ✓ Virtually no weeding
- ✓ Works on any balcony, terrace or other tiny space
Continuous Planting
The secret to year-round harvests: as soon as you harvest one crop, you plant the next. Strategic crop rotation keeps your garden productive from early spring to late autumn.
- ✓ Seasonal planting schedules
- ✓ 5× more yield than traditional rows
- ✓ Cold-weather crops extend the season
The 5-Minute Ritual
Your daily garden check is a mindful moment, not a chore. Step outside, check what's ready to harvest, water what's thirsty, spot any issues. Five minutes. Done.
- ✓ Gardening as self-care
- ✓ Natural stress relief
- ✓ Connect with nature daily
